VEEDERSBURG - Edna A. Ghormley, 68, of Rt. 2, Veedersburg, died at 8:45 p.m. Tuesday in St. Elizabeth's Hospital at Danville, Ill. She had been in ill health for six months and had been in the hospital for a week. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Veedersburg and the Order of the Eastern Star at Cayuga. She was a former owner of the Sunny Inn Restaurant and came to Veedersburg in 1946. Born June 15, 1907, she was a daughter of Amos B. and Bessie Sollars Sproul of Georgetown, Ill. She was married to Alfred Rennison on May 6, 1942, at Jacksonville, Fla. He preceded her in death in 1966. She was married to Benjamin Ghormley on March 15, 1971, at Danville, Ill. Survivors are her husband; a son, John of Veedersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Roger (Nancy) Lightle of Veedersburg; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Robert (Jan) Buckman of Fenton, Mo., and Mrs. Don (Bonita) Manasco of Shoshoni, Wyo.; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Betty) Large of Dandridge, Tenn.; two grandchildren; and seven stepgrandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Dickerson Funeral Home at Veedersburg with the Rev. Charles Wood officiating. Burial will be in Osborne Prairie Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home between 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday. - jlr
